This video contains imperative information regarding American foreign policy, i.e. the “War on Terror. It discusses Blowback, a phenomena which states that foreign intervention has unintended consequences that cause foreign nations to retaliate and attack America. According to the CIA, U.S. military interventions cause more terrorism in the form of Blowback. A former CIA member, Chalmers Johnson, exposes the “war on terror” and explains how Sadam Hussein, Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda all received aid from the United States in the form of weapons and money in order to covertly invade and overthrow Iran and the Soviet Union. This video advocates a non-interventionist approach to foreign policy. One where America does not meddle within foreign nations domestic affairs and instead leads by example rather than by aid. The video makes claims that a non interventionist approach would make America safer and wealthier. Presidential Candidate Ron Paul advocates a non interventionist approach to foreign policy. It would serve America well to elect a candidate that understands the unintended calamities that derive from war and interventionist foreign policies.
